JAPowers
I'm currently using Home Designer Pro 2019. I need to create a stone column with a cast stone top that has a crown molding edge. I cannot find any way of attaching crown molding on a wall that is not on the interior . Is there any way to do it? Thank you.
Dermot
You could make your column out of a cabinet or soffit (because they can have moldings attached to them).
Solution MarkMc Posted April 8, 2022 Solution Share Posted April 8, 2022 You found the Chief Architect forum so I don't know if you can do this in Home Designer (which has it's own forum) But you can also make columns from cabinets which allow a lot of control and alteration and will take molding. Can then turn those into a symbol which can make placement easier (again all in Chief Pro) Column on left is one single cabinet, column on right is two. For #2 Copied the first one, then copied in place, adjusted the height of one to be the top, and the other to be the bottom. Changed the molding on the bottom, changed the faces on the top (all sides match front as a side panel inset) and changed the material. Can even make a round one 2
JAPowers
Thank you so much, MarkMc!! I was able to do the same thing in Home Designer Pro 2019. Very creative solution - I really appreciate!
