Creating a mechanical room in the basement

Hello,

 

I have a room for the heat pump, water heater, air exchanger etc.   I put the equipment in the basement.   I drew 4 internal walls around it.  I'd like to put a ceiling on the room to help reduce noise.  I'm not sure how.

Use the ceiling plane tool or add a floor above the basement.

Thanks - I'm not sure what you mean about creating a floor above the basement?   That is the first floor of my house - isn't it or am I being too literal?

 

I think I tried to put a ceiling over the room but it doesn't show when I do the 3d view.
