GeneDavis Posted December 30, 2014 Share Posted December 30, 2014 I just model it with solids and assign all wood parts to a layer called Screened Porch Framing. I have done screened porch framing all in Sketchup and then imported the whole shebang into Chief as a symbol, but that was before I realized I could do it just as fast in Chief. The screen can be modeled as a solid, too, and textured with screening image, if you want some 3D render semi-photorealism. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
4hotshoez Posted December 30, 2014 Author Share Posted December 30, 2014 I mulled windows together after modifying the sash frame and trim to create a 2" x 4" frame. Made the frame 1" thick and the casing to 2" wide each side. Set the spacing between to "0". The sash was reduced to 1/2" profile and made the glass material to screen material.
