Change Door Description?

Saving a french door to my catalog I wanted to change the Description.

Can't seem to find where to change it.

it comes from the OIP Description Field AFAIK which you can edit.....  you can also double click it in the Component panel to edit

The Symbol Name usually AFAIK but Windows and Doors being Parametric it maybe Hard-coded? I didn't play with it more....

 

I guess it's not using the name you gave it in the library?

Your suggestion fixed the data in the Door Schedule.

The user library door has the same automatic description so it must be hard coded.

So I changed the description in the library door in the OI description so it is correct in the door sch.

did you change the Symbol Name in the Library or just the Object name?

Object Name.

The door has no symbol to edit that I see.

I just selected the exterior door & used the Add to Library tool.

Ya sorry forgot Doors and Windows being Parametric don't have "Symbol" status , it is how I rename other Stuff for Schedule eg a Generic Fridge or Washer and Dryer , Faucets etc , so the correct name shows in Schedule even if I don't have a true 3D model.
