2d symbol not "setting"

I must be missing something simple here.  I am trying to create a hatched 2d symbol for some flagstone so my geotech can distinguish the flagstone from my boulders.  I have attached a sample plan with the flagstone symbols and associated cad blocks.

 

When I open the symbol and change to my hatched 2d symbol nothing changes.  Symbols on left, CAD blocks on right.

Sorry 2D cad blocks do not recognize line styles or hatch patterns.  I did not look at your file but you may be able to simulate what you need to accomplish with line segments.

 

It sure would be great if this was not so.

Hmm, I did not know that.  I will go with the line segment idea.  Thank you.

This statement is not entirely correct, at least not with regard to fills. Open Symbol Specification dialog, click on the 2D Block tab, make sure Fill is checked, and check Use Original Plan Colors.
