Aldig87 0 Posted February 26 Hi All, Brand new user here. I've gotten this far without asking for help, but really feel like I am mired here. I'm attempting to build a structure comprised of steel columns and spandrel beams. I have created a ceiling plan, and a roof plane, and I'm trying to place trusses between the two. The trusses are showing up on my floor plan, but do not show on my 3d model. Thanks in advance, Alex Covered Landing, Winthrop DC.plan
solver 1673 Posted February 26 Display problems are very often simply the layer the missing object is on is not set to display in the view.
Michael_Gia 91 Posted February 26 Just opened your plan and took at "Orthographic Framing Overview". Seems like the trusses are displaying just fine?
Aldig87 0 Posted February 26 Thanks Michael - I wasn't aware of that feature. My initial concern was that they aren't displaying in "camera view". Understood, Solver. Where do I adjust those settings? Thank you, Alex
solver 1673 Posted February 26 There are many articles and videos on the Chief website, and Chief has a YouTube channel with more info. Suggest you spend some time reading/watching to get you up to speed on the basics. The Help system is also quite helpful, if you know what to look for. Searching for display, and a bit of reading will likely get you going.

Aldig87 0 Posted February 26 Much appreciated, all. I did heed the advice to research extensively prior to posting, but I'm trying to produce a drawing for a work project, and there is so much to learn... The videos did answer my question, and have a bunch of other great info. Cheers, Alex
