ElkRivers
Hi all- My Structural Engineer is asking for foundation plans that only show the 8" concrete basement wall. My concrete walls have 3" insulation on the outside of the basement, as well as future furring (which I've shown as dashed lines) on the inside. Is there a way to make these walls so I can separate out the concrete wall, and "turn off' everything else? I haven't been able to find any past dialog about this specific thing. I probably can remove the furring, now that my space planning in the basement is done. But I can't remove the insulation from my model or it won't look right...possibly there's a better way to do it? Thanks.

ElkRivers
Thank you so much for your help! I was able to get it to do exactly what I wanted with the Main Layer Only. Karen
SNestor
@ElkRivers - just curious. Where will the wall above align with your foundation? Will it hang over to cover the insulation...or, just line up with the concrete foundation? How do you protect a 3" layer of insulation from damage...either during construction or after? Thanks.
