Any idea if the Room Planner app is going to be developed for PC's? If so when?

I heard they are working on an android version but I haven't heard anything about a pc version.

 

If all you want is a quick and easy program to draw a plan, I would check out one of the Home Designer products.  If all you want is something to view plans, then you should check out the free viewer program.

Nope. Have had Chief since v10. Asking the question because I'm thinking it might make life easier when going to measure a house. I don't want and I-pad.

they are used instead of a tape

 

some say a tape is never needed again

 

I find it easier to use a tape - sometimes - for small distances - say about the length of my arm spread

 

my Disto's min distance is 9 inches, max is 300'

I use Chief Architect X6 on my surface pro and a Disto D330i to do as is floor plans.  The Disto transfer software will input dimensions directly into the Chief dimension dialog box.   I looked at room planner and even it did work on a PC I feel it is just to simple to use to do a full field measured house plan.

Thanks Tom. I am coming to that same conclusion. Not in the budget for this year though for buying the Surface Pro.
