Signaturedsgn
Hi! I was using this Chief video (https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/9865/creating-custom-cabinet-hardware.html?playlist=87) to create my own hardware and when I get to the part where we are supposed to switch into 3D view to change the finishes and such I can't find what I've made. It only shows up on the plan view. Is there a setting I need to change somewhere?
Ridge_Runner
Don't know what version you are using, but check the plsolid in plan view to see what layer it is on. Make sure that layer is "on" in 3D view.
Signaturedsgn
Thank you!! I moved it to a new layer and it showed up.
Ridge_Runner
Eric's suggestion is a good one. Sometimes those plsolids will generate so far away from the origin that you don't know where they are unless something is there to stop them; voice of experience. Even a tall enough slab in behind them will cause them to be just in front of it. Other times, they may be right at the section camera you are using. tommy1
Try doing an orthographic overview (vector overview). It's often easier and will bring it up fast.
RRFDesign
I have this same issue and everything is on the correct layer and is displaying, but I can't see it in 3D or in elevation. Never mind - I had it measuring from "absolute" instead of "finished floor". thank you
