jream20
I have been messing with my first floor stairs since yesterday! I am trying to add walls under the stairs to create an opening for my basement stairs, while keeping my open rail for 6 treads.I also want those first 6 treads to be 4' wide, and the rest of the treads to be 3'7". Attached is a picture of the area I'm having issues with. Thanks for the help in advance google drive plan link https://drive.google.com/file/d/1GVm6CxrF_cDE-03QTVgM_Su8MlLl9PoN/view?usp=sharing

Checked Open Underneath, and drew in my own wall shown in tan. This is exactly why I would love for Chief to let us have the capability to place a break in the stairs so that we could change the width of the stairs wherever we want. This would be a huge benefit at times.

Is there something you want that standard trim will not do? This uses standard casing with a Lintel. The lower piece is a sill from my library (1x6) but could be any size. Also noticed your Gable Sub Fascia, or Gable Fascia needs resizing. I need my top piece of trim to extend 1" further on each side. I couldn't figure out any other way to do that other than the way I did it
