johnny Posted September 26, 2017 Share Posted September 26, 2017 The way I would do it is make a new wall type that includes the total thickness of the finish layer, and then make strips of material regions that "cut" finish layer, but make sure your material region contains a thinner layer of the same material....with the delta difference being the relief you want. The material regions won't wrap around the corner but you can align them so the cut will occur at the edge. Make sense? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
glennw Posted September 26, 2017 Share Posted September 26, 2017 Because it doesn't appear that the grooves go into the window/door recesses, I would start by trying to use molding poly lines with multiple moldings applied. The molding would be the height and thickness of the grooves, same material as wall and drawn on the outside of the wall. I think they will be easier to control than Material Regions.
