JenniZ
Is there a way to adjust the depths of drawer boxes in a specific cabinet. I want to show in a section view a shallow drawer box to accommodate an outlet. Thanks for any tricks in achieving this.
Alaskan_Son
I think the most efficient solution for this type of thing is to simply take a section view>CAD Detail From View and adjust as necessary. There are more complex solutions but I don't think they're really worth it.
JenniZ
Thanks would you tell me how to get to the "CAD Detail From View" I opened up a section view and tried to put the cabinet in the CAD detail but it wouldn't let me.
JenniZ
Do I have CAD Detail From View on X9 Interiors? I am unable to find it.
Alaskan_Son
Sorry, no...you do not have that tool. You may just have to use one of the other methods after all. I think the next best option for you is probably going to be sending your cross section view to layout as Plot Lines and then using the Edit Layout Lines tool. Here's a quick video... JenniZ
Thank you so much for taking the time to show me how to do that! Can I then save that to my library and import it into a CAD Detail in my plan?
Alaskan_Son
No. You'll just need to let it live in layout. You should be using layout to create your documents anyway though right? Or...you can just upgrade to Premier and get all the tools you might need.
MarkMc
Change existing cabinet drawer to a false drawer and draw a polyline in the section view for your drawer box. Attached is a drawer box symbol if you really want 3D (dunno why) Really think about getting premier. I ended up with Interiors for a while and it ticked me off (had already spent the money elsewhere) Thankfully I had TurboCad for stuff like this but a big PIA. Finally if you are doing this to permit phone charging? If so take a look at these-made to go into a drawer and solves it all. https://www.hafele.com/us/en/product/24-slim-docking-drawer-for-24-cabinet-depth-with-2-x-outlets-and-2-x-usb-ports/000001090002516600030023/#SearchParameter=&@QueryTerm=drawer+outlet&FF.followSearch=9786&PageNumber=1&OriginalPageSize=12&Position=3&OrigPos=3&PDP=true Drawer box.calibz
