JohnWebbConst 0 Posted January 26, 2017 Hi all, I am new to Chief and trying to build a roof. Wondering if I can get any pointers on how to get my curve to connect with the roof to the right. And get the other side of the gable that is not curved to come down a little farther? I have attached an image. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks,
DRAWZILLA 779 Posted January 26, 2017 Just copy the good roof plane and use reflect about the ridge

JohnWebbConst 0 Posted January 26, 2017 Ok, thank you. I did that with the curved roof and made it straight. It looks better to me. But now I need to get the curved roof to connect to the other roof. How may I go about this?
BryceEngstrom 38 Posted January 26, 2017 You need to take the 90 degree angles out of the two planes you are trying to join and have a straight line from the eave to the back of where I assume you want your valley between the two roofs. Just rough that in in plan view. Then use the join roof planes tool to create your valley. As far as the gable roof plane on the left just select it and use the Move tool to lower it in the Z plane. But, the fascias won't match top and bottom at the ridge unless they are at the same pitch at that point. I assume you just want them to meet at the top. Or.....post the plan.
