I simply create an X8 folder and copy the folders I will probably use in X8 from X7.

The room above the garage is not defined then you want to go from the garage floor to the ceiling? Garage Ceiling?

Or are you talking bout the room above the garage ceiling? Of which there is no room defined.

I have Windows 10 on everything now.

It's great, at least as good as 7 in all respects. 

The only trouble I seem to have is with Chrome and Windows 10.

That Foxit seems like really good software if you are going to be manipulating PDF files all the time.

It is $90.00 though. I use a free software that works quite well for converting images to PDF or PDF to images like jpg and PNG plus others.

It is called PDFill and as I mentioned it is free for the tools that do this and more.

You can pay for the PDF editor portion for about $20.00 if you need that too.

I will "help" you with the plan, fix some real issues I see, build you a construction set of plans and if it is in an area that will allow me to do the prescriptive structural on it I will do that too.

It will cost of course and be money well spent.

For my Title-24 part six I like to convert the PDF to a .jpeg or a PNG file first as this will make the file much smaller.

I use PDFill for the conversion. They have a free version with really cool tools for PDF files like this. I can convert PDF to image files or visa versa plus many other tools.
