  1. Is there a way to add in shadows into our elevations? Not sure which software it is, but another one is showing subtle shadows and wishing we could too. Gives that special dimensional effect I'm wildly curious which software this is. See attached
  2. How do I place the chairs underneath this table, so table doesn't read as a rug in plan view? I feel like I'm missing an obvious step, but can't find. Lol, maybe I'm stuck in Microsoft world, where right mouse click lets you "Send to back". Thanks
  3. Hi, I used a polyline solid to quickly create a ceiling beam, and butted wall cabinets with moulding against the beam sides. Is there a better way to depict beam so doesn't show the crown moulding cutting into the beams? I also tried building cabinet soffitt, but still showing the crown mould in the beam. There's got to be a better way- please advise?
  4. So I just looked thru all the archived backup plan copies on home laptop and work desktop. For some reason, all the elevations are for one wall but not the other. I did save as both, but wondering why all my backups are showing up as with one wall elevation? I've attached plan, in case I'm missing something. Not sure what I did. I may just need to re-draft, argh. BOYLE_CON_Drawing__10_14.18_auto_save_bak_auto_save.plan
  5. I had 2 elevation views for a galley kitchen, and one elevation view has somehow reversed direction to the same wall. Now I have 2 elevations of the same wall, and my notes/ dimensions for the disappeared wall are MIA. I don't have the option to rotate the elevation view around for some reason- no arrow option on the callout. Anybody know how to retrieve that view, by rotating that callout? I'm hoping my notes are still there, since the same elevation callout is still there from original. Not sure what happened since I last saved and closed out my plan.
  6. Hi all, Chief responded back with: I did notice something that may have an impact. The area of focus is not currently divided into its own separate room. I would recommend adding walls (even if you use the Invisible Wall Tool) to create a room definition for this space. Because the Wall Elevation tool is room oriented, the program may be getting confused about which boundary you are trying to view. I’ve included a screen capture of some tips that may help you create more reliable Wall Elevations. Create Walls around all spaces you are designing. You can use Invisible Walls if you don’t want to see them in you scenes. The idea is to create room definitions for each space that you will represent in a Wall Elevation. You can see in the screen capture, the lower space is part of a very big room (grey highlighted area). Make sure you start your Wall Elevation camera in the proximity of the items you would like to display. In this instance, click at the green dot, then drag in the direction of the arrow to create a Wall Elevation. For cases where a wall exists, but you want to show a Wall Elevation that spans to rooms, you can Temporarily Set the dividing wall as “No Room Definition”. I had a much larger room enclosing this bathroom to create its own room, but looks like Invisible walls in the immediate bathroom area is the better route to go. Thanks!
  7. Gotcha, thanks. The missing part was middle portion of a wall behind cabinets, and couldn't figure out why middle of the wall and corner would disappear. Thankfully, popped up later, so all good and could finish project. Will definitely send forward to Chief, and keep you posted if anything helpful. Thanks again!
  8. For some reason, part of one of my elevation is not showing up. Objects are still there, b/c can select the items, but can't see in elevation view. Why does this happen? The missing elevation view all of a sudden showed up couple hours later.
  9. Hmm, I'm not seeing duplicate- have tried deleting, moving and still the star. Oops, sorry- have re-attached. _HELP OSULLIVAN EXIST Drawing_ 9.29.18.zip
  10. I've checked all the recessed lights and spot lights in the area, and none have the "Show position in camera view" checked. In the perspective view, the star seems to be hanging out where recessed light hadn't been placed. And the point light that seems to be the culprit (in red), isn't checked: Could you take a peek at attached drawing? I am totally stuck what I did. Pressed one thing too many. _HELP OSULLIVAN EXIST Drawing_ 9.29.18.zip
  11. Anybody know why there's this random red star in the upper left side? I'm thinking some electrical setting was inadvertently set, but cannot figure how to remove.
  12. I've imported electrical symbols like decorative pendants from Google Warehouse, and not been able to connect electrical lines from them. Although I've opened the symbols and changed the Layer and Drawing Groups to electrical, no electrical connecting happening. Is there any way to change?
  13. Without the lines- looks totally fine. Only the elevations, and in all the different elevations, running in the same area. Not sure what I did.
  14. Anybody know why these random horizontal lines suddenly appeared in my elevations? Not sure what I did, but just appeared. I've tried selecting the lines, and locating in different parts of the elevations and plan to figure out what it is and how to remove. It's totally inaccessible.
