  1. So I have a Big question and a little question.  The little question first.  I am using the auto story pole.  The Top of Footing is referencing the top of the garage footing and not the main house footing and I can't seem to find the handle for correcting this?  The big question is why isn't there an Index in the reference manual or somewhere else?

  2. Good Post,  I have just started working with a G602 and like the shape but dont use the other buttons as much as I should.  I bought the 55" monitor and at first there was intolerable lag, It's better now but looking to make it perfect.  Glad to hear that you got the mouse to work.  I'm hoping to get more out of mine over time.

  3. Duplicated monitor solved the situation for now, 55 is large and need to reconfigure the office so that the monitor is lower and likely below desk height and tilted so that I'm looking down.  I may post a picture once I have it in the right position.

  4. So I am trying my new 55" monitor and I love it so far but the mouse tracking from the laptop onto the large monitor is a problem.  the mouse is quick and accurate on the laptop but once I slide it onto the larger monitor the lag time is a real problem right now.  I have not experienced this before so I'm looking for a solution now if anyone else has encountered this problem?

  5. rwdozier , thank you and I agree... "I seem to recall seeing a thread which shows photos of CA users with their office setup showing the monitors in use. Anyone know where it is or could some of you post some photos of your large monitors/TVs in use? Thanks!"

I have had the same trouble as if Google images is locked in one vein of images, .....weird

  7. Thank you all for the contributions, I'm convinced and I'm going to plunk down the money for a 40- or 50" monitor to replace one of the 32" older model that I have.  I'm probably going to go to Walmart as a matter of convenience and price and while I would like a Samsung and will never buy LG....is there another brand that has worked well for your design work?

  8. Thank you David, I'm troubled by your last sentence about things imported in a "scattered manner." I have very little experience working with this type of importation so I'm wanting to make sure I don't corrupt something accidentally.  Ideally I'm looking to do it with someone who will look over my shoulder while I do it or vice versa and record it while doing so.  I have two projects to work on this back to back and one has a very tight lot restriction.

  9. I can see it in an elevation view I think but I can't select it, Terrain button is greyed out and not selectable.  I was able to change it in a spec box but something is still amiss and I have not been able to find the handle

  10. I have a fully developed plan and I want to change the elevation of the house.  I can seem to select the terrain or even see it's perimeter defined on any layer.  It shows up as checked in the display options,    ....what am I missing? lol

  11. So this is kind of like a 'chicken or the egg' challenge, form following function.  This interior design is what they want, putting an attractive roof on it that keeps snow and water out but looks attractive is the "trick"  Hypothetically, how do I best, minimally alter the interior space  to come up with an attractive roof that sheds properly?

  12. Thank you Mark,  yes this is a work in progress, no there is no plans for a second floor other than some storage over the garage.  Yes I have a lot of lattitude to adjust the plan.

Mark these are good suggestions and what you suggest is similar to the roof that our program auto generates.  This home will get plenty of snow so the original front gable idea is to keep snow away from the front entry and add a chandelier to the foyer.

  13. Thanks Joe, I like hearing how others are doing things as I'm operating on a laptop to two 32" inch monitors.  It's working fine but I always like hearing what works better or for the different applications.  I don't have anything in portrait mode but I want to try that soon.
