Brinkbart, I haven't used them yet, but I will let you know on here or in a personal message how they turn out. Been a little busy finishing up with my current client. Have a great day!

I know this sounds silly, but I place a soffit into the plan and place the material I want to copy on it, them I save it to the library and voilà.
-
Thank you for giving it a try. feel free to send it my way. Thank you!

Feel free to adjust the roof pitch on the back of the house to clear windows. We can play with ceiling heights in the closet to get the look, whatever you feel would work better. I was going to lower it to 8'. I know this sounds horrible, but i have no idea what he is doing with the roof framing system. My boss is Amish and they do everything they can by hand. So if it's to much for a team of 6-8 to handle, they won't do it. Thank you guys!

The garage is supposed to be a hip. No gable. I have no Idea why he drew it that way. You can make the middle bedroom's (the one between the towers) ceiling 10' to get that effect, of you could drop the front bedrooms (towers) to 8'. They do want the funky roofs in the back. The want vaulted hearth and breakfast nooks.

Thank you! They are perfect!

You know what? I appreciate it. I'm so stressed because of work, I'm about to start pulling my hair out! Thank you for at least giving it a go!

I can't believe I'm being stumped over this roof. I have to have elevations for the client by tomorrow and I can't even put this roof together. Attached is what they want the front elevation and rear to look like. (Hand drawn by my builder...He's Amish..nuff said. LOL) Every time I draw it up, It doesn't fit together right. Does someone else wanna give it a whack? Please let me know. My boss was thinking a 6/12 pitch, however that probably wont work. I'm pulling my hair out here and this couple wants their house built yesterday! Ugh!

Thank you Joe. I wasn't even swear that there was a Jenn-Aire catalog available for download. I'll have to be more observant!

a 3D symbol for a 40" Kenmore Elite Dual Fuel Range? (See picture below) I guess we ordered these quite a few of these to put into our homes, so now I have to use them in all of my designs. Grr.
Here is a link to the exact model we purchased. http://www.sears.com/kenmore-elite-40inch-double-oven-dual-fuel-range/p-02275603000P?sid=IDx01192011x000001&kpid=02275603000&kispla=02275603000P&kpid=02275603000&mktRedirect=y I don't think I'm looking in the right places, because everywhere I search comes up empty! Thank you for your time!

Hey! Some people think that bathroom fixtures are pieces of art... Just as Kohler...LOL

Wait!? So you mean to tell me that some random person (that I've never met or even heard of) from some foreign country far far away, didn't leave me his 6 million dollar fortune after his death, that i can get in no time if I just pay the banks fee's of $8,000.00?! I'm devastated! All kidding aside my family was out over $36,000.00 due to the fact that they targeted my spouse's mother-in-law's mom who was in the beginning stages of Alzheimer's. We don't know what they said to her to get her information but they got her banking info and began pulling large amounts of money out of the account. We were never able to recover that money. I believe CA should monitor the first few posts of new users.

Welcome Back David!!! Good to see you posting again!

If you figure this out, please let me know. I deal with this on almost EVERY plan! Good Luck!

Thank you!

This is completely off topic, but what floor are you using in that photo above? Is that in the X6 library?

Have you watched any of the videos on CA's website or YouTube? http://video.chiefarchitect.com/player/player.php?id=564&th=1&autoplay= Try this one, it gives you an idea as to how you normally draw rood planes in CA. I'm currently off work for a few days due to a sick family member and my significant other insisted I took the time off, so if you have ANY questions about your plan what so ever, feel free to shoot me an email at anytime. I was curious about your basement... if you're having trouble with that too, feel free to email me. rosco_2017@hotmail.com

Here are two pics you should look at, in the first pic you have an unneeded roof plane.
In the second pic, you'll notice I highlighted a green line. That's the roof baseline. You'll most likely want that to be drawn on top of the wall.
If I've said anything that is wrong or doesn't make any sense, please chime in here. Thanks!

Brian, Is this what you were trying to achieve? It looked like you had an extra roof plane where there shouldn't have been. Good Luck, Hope this helped...

One of these days, I hope to be honored by one of Scotts videos...Lol. I've learned not to watch them in waiting rooms or around children, but I always watch the video's he posts because sometimes the Chief videos tend to put me to sleep and his videos are the best. When you watch Scott's videos, your significant other tends to say (or mine at least) "Did he just say what I think he just said?" Keep up the good work Scott. His slogan should read "Never a dull video" LOL

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how to go about making this kind of detail above my arched opening. I have tried with 3D molding polylines and get crappy results. We do this in all of our houses and it would be nice to finally get to show it to a client instead of showing them the render and then a picture of what it's supposed to look like. Here's what we start out with,
and then here is what we finish with.
He's another photo of what I'm talking about.
Hopefully this makes sense, if it doesn't please tell me so I can try to clarify what I want to accomplish.
