  1. Actually one more quick question. I always use "boxed eaves" on all of my roof designs, but I can't seem to get the eaves to be flat (without the little lip) underneath like we build it in the real world. Is that a quick fix? a setting I'm missing perhaps. See attached photos.post-58-0-05326400-1416262549_thumb.jpg post-58-0-14460900-1416262684_thumb.jpg

  2. I see what you're saying. That's a good idea. That room is a breakfast nook, and will be vaulted with stained wooden beams. We have a home similar to the spec that we're about to build that has almost this same type of roof (see attached photo)post-58-0-24846900-1416262119_thumb.jpg

  3. Alan, yes. Thank you. That area where the sliding glass door is is going to be 2 single casement windows. This is the exterior of our next spec house. we are going to put a single door on the other side and turn the three single casement windows into a slider and put a raised concrete deck off the back of the house. the deck was originally going to be off the left hand side where the slider currently is, however I felt like it would block a lot of light from the windows that are going to be in the daylight basement. Thanks guys for your help!

  4. I deal with the first one a lot and was just curious if anyone knew how to eliminate the little artifact pictured here post-58-0-41960300-1416254412_thumb.jpg (Notice the area above the middle of the sliding glass door) I can never seem to get it to disappear no matter how many times I mess with the roof planes. I'm stumped. My second issue is that I can't seem to get the "Full Roof Return" to look right over the front door. I want it to look like the one above the garage but when I do it automatically it creates a little wing that sticks out into the middle of nowhere. post-58-0-79993800-1416254656_thumb.jpg Any input would be appreciated. Attached it the file.

  5. I did download the new DalTile Library. I had a meeting with the client and all this hassle has been for noting....Grrr! They've decided to go with hardwood in their kitchen and a 18 x 18 tile in their half bath, mud room, and laundry room. Sorry for the inconvenience guys! I apologize and promise to be a little more specific next time. Have a great night!

  6. Thank you for your help so far. I already have that Library and use it often. It's not the pattern I'm trying to replicate, it's the tile. Not having any luck online and the company we bought it from is still trying to find the manufacture they bought it from. (but with no luck so far)

  7. Jintu, I should have been a little more specific. I've been through the library and can't seem to find anything close to the tile in my picture. I can't seem to find a manufacturer that has a similar tile. D, multiple ceiling treatments, and 4 car "L" shaped garages are our company's little trademark here in Fort Wayne. Lol... That and a ton of wood working and built-ins. But you'll get that when your builder is Amish. LOL Great guy though.

  8. Does anyone have a FLOOR tile similar to the one in the picture. The tile in the picture was used in our spec house and now someone wants to see what it would look like in their kitchen before we order it, and put it in. I can't find anything in the library. Thank you for you time!

  9. Has anyone done any videos on roof framing? When it comes to framing, I'm pretty stupid! LOL I can't seem to build my roofs the way my boss builds them in the field. I've got a lot to learn when it comes to roofs and framing. My boss tells me when use 2 x 10's for our roofs but when we get to the eves, they put a "notch" in it, cutting it down to 3 1/2" from 9 1/4" (See picture attached of already framed house) also attached is a pic of what I'm trying to accomplish. I really hope I am making some sort of sense. I've been working with Chief for years, and never really had to use the framing tools, but my boss would like to see what a roof framing plan looks like from this program. (He's Amish, so he's easy to wow) Lol. Thanks in advance, hopefully I've made enough sense. If not, please let me know! Take care!
