I think you might have to have SSA to view all of them, not sure. Never NOT had SSA.
Hopefully some of these might guide you on your way.
Dan Baumann has a youtube channel that is very helpful, I recommend you watch his video series on Chief Archietect Mistakes. I think there are like 10 of them or so, I'll post the link, i believe you can find the rest through the first video. These were very helpful videos! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AuIPzVulvG8

Todd, What Joe just said, I believe is why your molding polyline is messing up. If you've fixed your foundation problem, then I believe you just have to move the items that are out of place. It's a pain I know, but if it gives you the results you're looking for, I'd do it.

Todd, maybe post the plan one last time and we can take a look at it. Everyone has a method when it comes to building their model. Mine is as follows... Walls first. (1st, 2nd, & basement.) Next I add the roof, then I add all the windows, then doors, then I tackle the interiors (Such as moldings, cabinets, custom details etc.) I do this because of the same problem you are having. I only had this problem with my garage windows. Attach the plan and we can look over it. It's the first day here in Fort Wayne that the temp reached above 60, so I'll be out for the majority of the day. I'll take a look at it tonight if you post it!

Not sure if this video will help, If you do watch it, make sure you turn on the captions. Audio is kind of choppy.

4hotshoez,
So if i'm understanding this correctly, you would like a video or explanation on how to control the foundations/footings using the dialogue boxes? A step by step on how to control the settings in these boxes?

I have had problems with arched brick ever since I started using this software. A video would be nice! LOL Just my .02 cents

I would probably be dead without her, b/c I know I would eat junk food but she comes down on me so hard, that I'm afraid of her. She can beat me up.
I read this while eating Nachos and drinking a Coca Cola... I need to start cooking more of her recipes. LOL

double click on roof planes in plan view and in the framing tab change the gable fascia dimension to 3/4" x 7 1/4"
Maybe some conflict in the dimensions for sub-fascia and fascia.
That did it. Thank you very much for your time!

I have a gap between the bottom of the roof plain and the soffit. Any Ideas? Can't seem to get it straightened out. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

X7 appeared in my digital locker last night around 11pm EST. I downloaded it and had to enter the product key 8 times before the "Activate" option would become select-able. After it finally activated the only bug I could find in the program was when I drew a square polyline and made it's fill a transparent hatch, I tried to "un-select" it but it was still grayed out. I restarted the program and everything was peachy! Loving X7 so far. although the stairs tool wasn't fixed, I'm pleased with this release. =] <----Happy Camper!

Curt, I believe around 18-20. I normally set them up and let them cook... While I cook. Lol

I have an Asus G75V gaming laptop and Chief sails smoothly on it. It's two or three years old now and gets hot enough to fry an egg on, but I bought a cooling pad in hopes that will give me at least one more year out of it. LOL

It drives me crazy that they are so hush-hush! However, when they finally do release it, it always feels like Christmas to me =] It's worth the wait I guess! LOL

Well it's about time! LOL

I think some of these discussions gets a little intense because someone says that something is important, and then someone else says 'nah' and you have to reload the cannon.
Lol! You hit the nail on the head! We're only human! Everyone has flaws...just like this program. LOL Nothing's always perfect.

Wow, this thread has really gone from the excitement of a sneak peak, to a whole new level. I had to turn off email notifications from it. LOL I understand that some of you are frustrated with the program, however I am very grateful that I have this program and I really appreciate all the work they put into this software. I make a living off this software and it took me many years to learn it. I'm not going to lie, I still don't know a lot. Foundations are a headache for me as well as layouts. Other than that I kinda have it down. If I worked for Chief and I read this post, it'd make me feel like I wasn't doing a good job. I appreciate all you guys do for us, and I greatly appreciate a lot of the users that help everyone out on this forum as well. A little off topic here. I was on Chief's Facebook page and read some comments that a user had left on a status of Chiefs. I believe Allen Brown even commented on that post and tried to set that gentleman strait. Lord knows he needed it. The gentleman made it seem like Chief was the worst program he had ever come across in his entire life. I couldn't believe the sass that guy gave. LOL No one is holding a gun to our head and forcing you to use this software. Good grief fella. Ya'll have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Just my two cents.! LOL

You and I both! I'm extremely impatient.

Oh snap I posted this in the chat room. I'm excited for this new feature!

I think we should have sounds and effects that we can turn on when doing 3D views - interactive meetings w/ clients would be a riot. When roof planes join, when walls snap, windows are placed, etc. - you get a cool sound. Maybe a little smoke burst. It seems this would be easy to do since all the video games do it. It would make work much more fun.
this site has all the stuff -
Sound effects. Now that would be interesting! LOL +1

"How do you place a ceiling light?" Click on the "outlet" symbol or "electrical symbol" Then click on the light, then click where you want it in the plan... There are a lot of free videos out there that you may benefit from. I'm just running out and don't have time to post any links, but if no one has posted links to these sources, I'll be happy to when I get back in. Have a great night. Also I just use a cad line to connect the switches on different floors. Not sure if Chief fixed that yet....

I started using Chief Architect Premier right after X5 was released. I'm not sure what tools X4 had vs. X5, but if it was me, I'd use a polyline solid and use the "Transform/Replicate Tool" to evenly distribute it across the area I wanted it in.
