Thank you @Joe_Carrick I've considered doing it like that, it would be nicer if the stair tool would allow angled risers though.

I have a situation working for a mainly modular company (we do some stick built, but much more modular). My Problem is a Basement Stairway in a 12' Box configuration (I assume you understand what i mean by a 12' modular "box") Starting from the "Marriage" wall extending towards the Foundation Wall (ie. from the center of the house to the outside wall) These Stairs Cannot be built by traditional standards. And Yes, we do have SOME modular allowances, but not that much. I have decided to try Angled Risers (per IRC 2021 R311.7.5.1) "Risers shall be vertical or sloped from the underside of the nosing of the tread above at an angle not more than 30 degrees (0.51 rad) from the vertical." So my question is : Can Chief Premier do Angled Risers ? or will I be doing this in a 2d detail ? I am currently using HDP 2025 (which i know cannot do this), but will be upgrading to x18 within a week or 2, and just curious .....

If only I had that option in HDP 2025 .....

For context, My Boss prefers a Horizontal 2x4 Top Rail and a Vertical 2x4 Bottom Rail for our deck railings. The question is: When i export a material list for said deck, I get 2 seperate columns for what is essentially the same board type (ie. a column for 2x4 and a column for 4x2), Is this supposed to be normal ? Not quite understanding why a 2x4 is read differently whether it is Horizontal or Vertical ... It's still the same board. See DW3 and DW4 in the screenshot below

Maybe it's just me YMMV, I've always found it works better using 300 separate (slight exaggeration, but not really) Elevation Points vs using Regions or Lines. Gives a lot more flexibility, at the cost of taking forever and feeling like Prison Sex.

click on a wall that you wish to change > Open object (CTRL+E) > wall types > change to: Interior 4 do this for all effected walls check dimensions after

Problem Solved I removed the black overlay and moved the Information Layer Chief User DWG.plan

Worked fine for me. BUT, I think what is going on, there are 2 drawings that are separated, I'm assuming they should be superimposed. If you scroll WAAAAY out you'll notice 1 part of the image (appears to be a neigborhood/ cul de sac) with no information on the top right corner. THEN to the bottom left is all your Compass and Elevation Data. As far as how to proceed from there, That is beyond my current level of Chief knowledge. Hope this helped you get a little further. New Plan > File > Import > Import Drawing In the Import Drawing Assistant I used these settings shown in screenshots ...

You were on the right path DBCooper. It WAS the login, but not exactly how you envisioned. Essentially, the software was purchased by a different account than my actual login. (corporate account) So I need to be logged into the account that purchased the software, not the account using the software. I'll need to sit with my manager on how we will proceed from here. I was, and always am to the software AND both Chief Website and Home Designer Website essentially, I never log out unless forced tried that as well, no luck also have tried it on at least 3 different plans, ones with and without layouts Thanks for giving it a crack though

I began working for a new company recently, and I'm working on a Custom Layout Template for them. I chose to put my information boxes running horizontally along the bottom (in a similar fashion to Rene Rabbitt's Layouts). I was told this is incorrect, and that it is a "standard" to have all page info along the right side running vertically (or treating the right side as the bottom). Can anyone tell me if this is a True Industry "Standard" ? Or if people just prefer to do it that way.
