    That is definitely an understatement.  I have had to manually build lookouts because of that situation and then had them jump to the other roof plane when the plan is closed and reopened.

  2. Use the 2x6 studs in your wall definition and then add the posts manually in the wall detail by modifying a stud.     Unfortunately you cant have two stud sizes in a wall or two walls in the same space.

     

    If you want it all auto you may be able to make it work with alternating wall types.  But the other makes your construction details make a bit more sense if you use wall details.

    Typically if there is an issue where they don't generate it is on one side of the roof and not the other, so I copy and reflect usually, at least for me that is usually what happens.

     

    If I have a situation where there are none I have one in my library that I can pull out and apply.    Pretty sure I have posted that before.

  5. I am certainly not a trim expert but it seems to work for me. Rooms allow multiple moldings and multiple profiles for each molding but a molding polyline also allows multiple profiles and then you can use multiple molding lines.  Not sure I understand what the issue is ?

    You can group select all the windows at once and do it with one entry.  At least all the windows on one floor anyway.

Yes things are a little different in X15..   It seems you are building with rafters but you have yet you have trusses set to display in your dialogue box diagrams.  I think you need to go back to your build roof menu and set that up for rafters and the appropriate birds mouth.  Then things will behave for you as expected.

More information may be required as it sounds like maybe you just need to reframe after adjusting the structure or pitch.  Just like when you move a door or window in a framed wall..  you need to then reframe the wall.  Post a few screen shots of the trouble spots and we may even need to take a look at the plan file.  Also step by step how it ended up that way.

  9. Do you actually have a roof plane in place or are you extending the rafters beyond the roof plane.  Trim to soffit may be the reason you are getting 2x6.  Just a guess though without seeing the plan file. ;)

It appears that you have adjusted the pattern of the material which works in the vector views but does not affect the standard or raster views where the texture is used.   There are corresponding Course Brick materials in the core library that should work for you.  However you may still need to rotate them.

    Is that an operating window ?  If not and it is just fixed with grills then I think you could take a stock window with a slanted top and bottom and rotate it 90° then bend it.  Unfortunately I think you would need to bend a straight one first and measure the distortion to determine the initial slant you would need to start with.  Can you tell I like the original screenshot ?

    One thing is for sure, you won't mistake it for a door with the arched base.

    Actually Rob, that was fun but I don't think it will work for you since I am not sure there is a way to keep the sides vertical.  You may need to build from scratch with moldings and solids. :(
