Yeah, thats the impression I get. A small price to pay to be in such a rich built environment though!

Are you in Vancouver BC? I love that place.

Sweet! Thank you Mr. James, that fixed it up!

Hi Chiefs, I have attached the plan file I am working on. It seems that in the window schedule it is showing information for bay windows on the first and second floors. I went into the schedule properties and unchecked Bay windows from the items to include list. I also opened up the bay window object spec box and told them not to be included in the schedule but they still show up. Only when I delete them do they go away. Does anyone know what my problem could be linked to here? Thank you very much! AB HAM_-_PROPOSED.zip

Glenn, it looks like if I just check the generate on lower platform it fixes my problem. Thankfully this is just my site model, when I added the new level it changed the reference level for alot of my geometry and the foundation rooms. I will be careful in the future to create my terrain on level 1, although it seems counter intuitive to me, shouldnt the landscape and the grade be associated with the foundation? Its just the way I think about it I suppose. Anyway thanks for the help, glad we got to the bottom of it!

Wow, well when I try in 3D it is still messed up. I wonder what it could be
-
No, I did not see it attatched WP

I tried that but I am getting the same thing. The height seems to be related to the slope of the terrain.

Sorry I was lunching. Here is the plan, while you have it open please let me know if any of you know why I might be having trouble with retaining walls. I keep trying to create them the way the training video shows, but nothing seems to happen. I wonder if it is not a related problem to the fence. Thank you very very much! MORGAN_AS_BUILT_SITE.zip

Thanks Javatom but I did have it set as a railing. I used the railing tool to begin with.
-
Hi Chiefs, I have this fence in my plan and it is doing this awful thing where it is extending the balusters way up above the top rail. I have it set to "follow terrain". When I set it to stepped terrain it acts even weirder, elevating all the balusters about 5' above the post & rail. Does anyone know what is making this happen and what kind of settings I need to adjust to make it look normal? Tried looking online but there does not seem to be that much on fences. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice, but they are not showing up still even after the rebuilds. Sorry for the late reply too!

Hi Chiefs, I am trying to show my door headers in this view but I cant figure out how. I have the door header layer on in this view. In the framing section for both door I have unchecked the defaults so that the header field is adjustable but still nothing, is there anything else I might be doing wrong? Thank you!

Thank you Yoda!

Hi Chiefs, I am trying to get the header on my door do extend 1" past the casing, how do I do that? I dont see a setting for it. Thanks you for your help! AB

Thanks for responding Alaska! May I call you Alaska? I know I tried that already and got pretty close. Plan 2 shows my mulled units and Plan 3 has my custom muntins. The problem with the mulled units is that I could not get them close enough to mull them together and then get the right dimension I needed for the schedule, it is always 1/16 off it seems, and when you zoom into the seam where the window units intersect you can see some sort of mutant geometry created between. Is there a trick to getting them close enough when you mull so that it gives an accurate value in the schedule? 924 STATE WINDOWS 2.plan 924 STATE WINDOWS 3.plan -
Hi Chiefs, Im making this window with custom muntins. I want to make the opening label drawn on the right part of the actual window, is there a way to do that? Thank you for your help!

Another thing is that the block wont stretch or contract, is there a way to make it adjustable after it is a block?
-
Hi Chiefs, I made this truss block in the file attached. I want to add it to my library but whenever I try to it offsets the top and bottom chords or the truss from the web what looks like 5' or so, anyone know why that is happening? Thanks! FLOOR TRUSS.plan

Great insight, thank you, I will run that up the ladder for sure.

Wow, that is incredible! You could get very creative with that tool! Im glad I asked, especially since another project I have right now is going to call for a lot of custom window work. If you have custom muntins in a window and then make a mulled window with another window do the muntins come with it?? And thanks Mr. Page, you have been giving me some good guidance lately and I want you to know I appreciate it!
