  1. Based off of your description I think this should be the Walls, Through Wall Lines layer. Walls, Through Wall Lines layer enabled Walls, Through Wall Lines layer disabled Does turning this layer off fix those lines for you? If not, would you please attach an image of what you're seeing?
  2. Hello @tbuck1db, in the attached plan you have both the Walls, Main Layer Only and the Walls, Through Wall Lines layers enabled which are going to control how your walls are displayed. To fix this: 1. Go to Tools> Layer Settings> Display Options 2. Find Walls, Main Layer Only and Walls, Through Wall Lines and turn these layers off 3. Click OK This should display your walls like you're used to. I hope this helps!
  3. You’ll need to go one step further; next to your 1” Scale Detail Text Defaults click the Green Plus icon to create a new 1 ½” Text Default. This will then open your new 1 ½” Text Defaults where you can go to Text Style and specify your new custom text style. Essentially you just need a new text default to assign your new text style to. I hope this helps!
  4. This issue was brought to our attention this morning and has since been resolved. It should be back to working normally and you will be able to view the ones that were failing before or any new ones that you upload. Please contact us if you're still encountering issues.
  5. @builtright3 It appears that these walls are trying to use the upper wall type (Glass Shower) to create this intersection, which will cause problems because the Glass Shower Wall Type is a single thin layer. I think the approach I'd take here instead is to still use the Pony Wall, set the Upper and Lower Wall Type to be "Stucco-4, Exist, Both Sides", and then paint the panel of your railing panel with the glass material. The Wall Cap seems to be a bit odd, which I haven't looked into, but it might be easier at this point to remove the Wall Cap from the Wall Specification and manually draw one in using the Molding Line tool. I have attached an image of what that looks like.
  6. Hello @sunnyseven, Temporary dimensions can be enabled/disabled by going to View> Temporary Dimensions. I hope this helps!
  7. Hello @JordanWeed, I believe this is an issue that was introduced with an earlier version of X17 and requires signing out and signing back in. 1. With X17 open click Account across the top 2. Click Sign Out of Chief Architect Account 3. Click Sign In to Chief Architect Account and sign back in From my understanding this shouldn't come back again after following the above steps. If this doesn't seem to resolve it for you, or if you encounter this again in the future, please feel free to contact Technical Support through the Technical Support Center. Using the Technical Support Center: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00717/using-the-technical-support-center.html I hope this helps!
  8. Hello @winterdd, Various networking ports can be found in the Core Catalogs by going to Core Catalogs> Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing> Electrical> Jacks> Networking. I hope this helps!
  9. Hello @Samia2024, This behavior is typically caused by an automatically generated attic wall on your 2nd floor, because these walls come with the No Room Definition setting checked. No Room Definition means that the wall will not enclose a room, so a room cannot be selected. I would go wall by wall in these areas, open the Wall Specification, and on the General panel ensure that No Room Definition is unchecked. More information can be found in this Knowledge Base article: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02970/troubleshooting-room-selection-issues.html For further assistance please feel free to start a Technical Support Ticket with a copy of your plan and we can help get this resolved. Using the Technical Support Center: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00717/using-the-technical-support-center.html I hope this helps!
  10. Hello @StephenM, you can find a few different fire escapes in the Exterior Egress Bonus Library. Here is a link to it on the 3D Library: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/3d-library/index.php?r=site/detail/981 I hope this helps!
  11. @PitMan71The only way to change the door designation from interior to exterior would be to delete and replace the door. The interior/exterior depends on the Room Type on either side of the door, so it was likely placed before specifying the porch as a porch room. However, there is a setting that will allow you to control the casing and materials on either side of the door. You can open the Door Specification and at the bottom of the General panel check the box for "Separate Trim and Materials on Each Side". I hope this helps!
  12. @GeneDavis This can be done by configuring your camera tool defaults to use Vector View, and then turning off the "Patterns, 3D Views" layer in both the Camera View Layer Set and the 3D Framing Layer Set. To do so: 1. Go to Edit> Default Settings> Camera Tools, select the appropriate camera tool, and click Edit. 2. On the Camera panel set your Rendering Technique to Vector View and click OK. 3. Repeat for any other camera tools. 4. Go to Tools> Layer Settings> Display Options 5. Change your Layer Set to the Camera View Layer Set 6. Find and turn off the Patterns, 3D Views layer 7. Change your Layer Set to the 3D Framing Layer Set 8. Find and turn off the Patterns, 3D Views layer Creating camera views should now load a Vector View with no patterns. I hope this helps you work without interruptions, but ultimately I would recommend staring a support ticket through our Technical Support Center. Using the Technical Support Center: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-00717/using-the-technical-support-center.html The Technical Support Center: https://support.chiefarchitect.com/home I am using the same driver version as the one you mentioned and am running an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060ti without issue. My recommendation here would be to first do a clean install of your driver, and we could certainly help you with that through the Technical Support Center. I hope this helps!
  13. Hello @SuzLeigh, These indicators can be controlled underneath of the View dropdown along the top of the screen. This one specifically can be controlled by going to View> Coordinate System Indicator - Floating and toggling it on/off. I hope this helps!
  14. @PitMan71 For scenarios like this I would recommend using the Edit Area tools. These tools allow you to highlight an area and then move/copy/reflect/etc everything that is contained within that selection. These tools are found by going to Edit> Edit Area Some information can also be found in this article: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/support/article/KB-02917/rotating-a-structure-or-plan-view.html I hope this helps!
  15. Thank you for taking the time to clarify and create the image above! I have gone ahead and passed this request onto our development team.
