  1. Wasn't sure who to mark as the solution so thanks Tea and DB.
  2. GOT IT! Saved the new symbol to the library one more time. THANK YOU again!!!
  3. THANK YOU1 I seem to have it most of the way figured out but can't seem to get the label to auto generate without editing the CAD block then applying changes. Am I missing a step?
  4. Thanks T but can't seem to get everything I'm looking for.
  5. That behaves like other electrical symbols as in attaches to walls etc. I have a plan checker that needs a combination AFCi/GFCI like the Leviton AGTR1-0KW AFCI-GFCI Dual Function Outlet spec'd in kitchen/bath. Can a custom symbol be created that works like other electrical outlets? THANKS
  6. Thanks DB, looks like you're right but a real PIA. Might report it as a suggestion.
  7. Have had this happen numerous time but in this plan it seems to happen all over the plan. Any help greatly appreciated. Plan file below. https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/0e34j69x0t345maf7st6o/WALL-LIGHT-1.plan?rlkey=jf8lihlv4ahf73u59tk9megpu&dl=0
  8. Now, is there a way to express that 'label' in feet and inches?
  9. THANK YOU so, so much for taking the time to explain that process. I had no idea adding a segment turned a line into a polyline and no idea there were options to label it and an object specific label option to show visible length. Must be a bit frustrating understanding those things so clearly and wondering why I'm not getting it but really had no clue and again, so much appreciate taking your valuable time to explain. Tried it and it worked a treat.
  10. No change or editing handles even with polyline labels turned 'on'.
  11. Thanks Rene, Are there editing handles on the text generated by the line 'show length' command? Don't see any. May try using a P-Line instead. Thanks Jason
  12. Using the line 'show length' command kinda sorta works but the dim is located in spots that Chief likes but not my preference and doesn't seem to be movable/relocated.. The red arrows show the format using show line length and the blue arrows show my preferred format. Looks like some thing I could live with and save a couple steps?
  13. MACRO.plan Thanks Joe, I think the request might be simpler in concept than in execution. I would simply like the line's length to be reflected in the dimension text, the callout symbol is not relevant nor a factor. Thank You again. MACRO.plan
  14. I use the below image to note shear wall lengths and specs. Currently I have to go through each new length of shear wall and manually change the length to match the shear wall length. Is there a macro that will change the 4' - 0" text to match that new length? And round down to specified dim. fraction of almost always no fractions? Thank You
  15. Aha! As long as that section is open it will remain as 'selected' DOH!
  16. Draw a construction line (CL) from the line menu. Double click the CL; select 'include in Automatic Ordering' in the 'Construction Line section, then under the Callouts Section choose Automatic in the Labels Section.
  17. Where are these parameters set please?
  18. Slogged my way though the video (again) and there are so many new features it's hard to digest. Great work from the Chief team and hopefully there's a couple I will actually use.
  19. Hey Michael, I usually check under HELP and "Download Program Update" and it takes me to a Chief web page that informs if I have the latest.
  20. Thanks again Tea, Only in the ref dbx, the LD in ALDO is unchanged. Small PIA but a PIA none the less and maybe the official release will address this.
  21. Thanks Tea but am referring to this drop down list in the pic. Used to be alphabetical in X15.
  22. Is there a way to organize ref set Layers? I sent the issue into tech and they could duplicate the issue, where ref set layers are now random and not listed alphabetically, but was wondering if there's a way to organize those layer sets? Small issue but I only use 4 or 5 sets for ref and now they're randomly organized. Thank You
  23. Rob, you could set up the foundation slab floor with multi layers using an air gap with framing above but always best to let the smart guys answer...
