Good afternoon - Just coming across this thread now! Wow I have really been missing out on this great feature / program!! Any chance their will ever be be "builder" for stone façade / cultured stone type of materials? I know Chief already has some manufacturer catalogs with quite a variety but sometimes it is hard to find exactly is needed for a project. -
Hey Susan, I was looking for another tool to make my own stamped concrete that looked like wood, I came across another free program almost identical to what you had shared with me, but it has different patterns / and wood or tile materials instead of all stone. With most things, not everything is free, looks like there are some textures and the options to actually import your own material but would require the "pro" account for $100 / year. Good morning, I'm wondering if there is an easier way to mass delete surfaces when trying to edit a symbol. This specific example was a light fixture I downloaded from 3D warehouse. When imported however I noticed the user had added an image beside the light fixture. So I went to try and edit the symbol / create a new symbol without that figure. Come to find out that the dress has a bunch of Polkadots on it and each dot will need to be deleted. In conclusion, I wasn't sure if there was a way to delete this large area faster than clicking on each individual dot. I have run into this before with other symbols trying to edit them but I would just give up and not proceed as it would take forever to delete all surfaces.

Hi Susan - thank you so much for sharing!! That is helpful. It's so nice to see some of these tools be shared . Could almost use the Stone Curator Designer for Tile Designs as well to a certain extent! I found a website shared in another Topic that helps make a texture / image seamless. So if you have a picture of a texture from a website, it doesn't seem as "blocky" or "tiled" when copied / pasted. https://www.imgonline.com.ua/eng/make-seamless-texture.php

Thank you very much. I have downloaded it and was able to get a similar outcome. I'm sure it will take me a while to figure out how to use the program proficiently.

I ended up getting someone to make the texture for me. She used Adobe Illustrator. Attached for anyone to use.

Good afternoon, I'm looking for a way to change a texture image. Not sure if there is a free photoshop type of program that can be used. I would like to achieve the flagstone with a Natural Red / Brown Granite texture, and the fill between to be a Gravel texture. thanks in advanced!

Good afternoon, I am having issues with a fascia board missing. I have tried re drawing it, moving it up / down / side to side slightly and nothing seems to work. Not sure if this is an easy fix but I can easily draw a polyline! Thanks in advanced.

LOL! Okay yes makes sense - thank you for your help. Do you teach for a price - about ray tracing? When you do the GPU / PBR Renders - Do you let them sit for a little while? For a number of "samples"? Or do you just export them right away?

Hi Robert, Thank you so much for answering. I have downloaded that Grass Texture - and Wow thank you for sharing it does look a lot more realistic! I have tried doing a GPU (PBR) Render which I agree is nice it is so instant! I guess I wasn't using that as I had read it was better for Interior views vs Exterior. See the attached view using the GPU / PBR rendering. I have an image background but I also have all 3D plants used too. Looking at your photo gallery - wow they all look so good and so realistic! Great Job! Have you ever or is it possible to turn the lights on inside the house with the exterior view? How did you get the grass to gravel or driveway transition to look more rugged?

Good morning, I am still pretty new into Ray Tracing both CPU and GPU. I seem to have a pretty good grasp on the interior GPU with playing around with lighting / sun light etc. However - the exterior Ray Tracing, you can see it looks to be foggy? I have attached before / 100 passes / 200 passes. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also not sure how to make the ground look more realistic? I tried adding small shrubs and rocks. Thank you!

I was able to solve the problem! I ended up calling the support help line for Chief, I hadn't copied over the referenced files, only the manufacturer libraries / bonus libraries.

I tried in-installing / re-installing and it's still showing all the texture files as missing. Very frustrating.
