I want to show a railing extension past the last stair tread. Cant seem to find anything in the default dialogue for this. Do I need to add a manual railing extension?
-
OK, so toggle back on when dealing with windows, doors, etc, etc. Thanks!

Is there a way to shut off "Cad tops Move" for everything, always? I can think of zero instances where this is helpful (to me) and it really bogs me down when I have to override it instance by instance. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

DYNAMIC PLAN/ELEVATION CAD IMG TREES
Tdgdesign replied to Renerabbitt's topic in Symbols and Content
Ahhh I so need these trees but Im in X9. Have anything from the stone ages? They look awesome! -
Well well! I had no idea you could even do that! Thank you sir!

Thank you Eric, you're a national treasure!

Is there a way to explode a mulled door unit but keep the schedule from updating itself? I need the door in the attached image to remain a D13 but also need to reverse its swing. When I explode it to change the swing it becomes D1. This wreaks havoc on the rest of the drawing set - specifically my elevations which are all CAD details and not live views...

I was able to get it to work by using wire mesh, then editing the material so it was set to Tile, then played around with the spacing a bit. Looks good enough for now. Thanks everybody!
-
Eric, Is that a custom material? My library doesn't have it and if I choose wire mesh it behaves the same as the screen material - IE disappears in line drawings...

Yes, I am trying to get the upper shaped windows to look like the lower ones in the B&W image

I have been searching this forum to no avail - how do I get screens to show in Line drawing mode on shaped windows? I have the window material set to screen but it doesn't look right so I mess with the grille arrangements in the windows. This works great for anything that is not a shaped window....

Wow, yeah I had to look really hard to see the overlaying. Looks great but seems far to clunky to make it worth it. Thank you though!
-
Yes! That looks great. How do I achieve this please and thank you!
-
OK, thanks. Were you ever able to? I seem to remember a way to do it in an older version.

How does one turn off the automatic naming of a room whenever I make a new pace inside an existing room type?

Yes that PDF was when I was still using AutoCAD. I am now on a 95% Chief Based Diet

Yeah, I picked up this swing style from my first job in an Architects office fresh out of college. They were very much a trend bucking, punk rock firm. Thanks for your time and insight. .
-
Thank you. Unfortunately it seems that there is not a practical workaround to generate this look in Chief

See attached DOOR.pdf

I like the door solid and the swing path dashed because, well it doesn't really exist. Just something I have always done.
-
Bummer. Going back and forth with CAD is to much work. Thanks.

Is there a way to show the door swing arc path as a dashed line in plan view? Thank you
