what a hell? how Chief can present Chief "Interior", when you don't even see wall material sq.m per room? 1. I want to see sq.m for every paint in a project and every wall paper in a project. We have flooring and ceiling... why we don't have walls? 2. molding length in a material list should be reduced when you install cabinets, doors, doorways etc. 3. Allow to paint one wall only!!! 4. Paint or wallpaper or whatever you choose should be assigned easily on each room on each wall. I would rather paint for walls separately then cut/rename walls just to isolate one.

Lets say I have three walls in a room with different materials: 1st is wall paper, 2nd is painted 3rd is tiles what s the easiest way in Chief to calculate total sq.m for all these different materials. And what is the easiest and most convenient way to add these materials to the walls? is it to break walls and use painter or use wall covering for each wall. I got confused about information in a material list. It doesn't show tiles on walls, just plasterboard

Totally agree! Instead I have to draw tiles with line tool... even autocad has this! Chief allow to choose start point for hatching. And add solid color with hatch on top please!.. How basic is that.

what do you mean by that assign a fill pattern? room polyline with fill? or what?

Hi all, I've found this photo Chiefs website How there hatches are visible in the plan?I'm talking about Deck wood and stone hatch. I assume this is made as a separate room polyline with hatch. Or is there other(easier) way to show top view with hatches and not black/white.

It's on a layer that is turned off. I'm having this behaviour 100 times every day. Select "All On Set" layer set. you will find your block then

It works! Robert thank you for your help. And wrap around the end of the wall should be allowed on exterior walls as well. Chief please fix this! If I have this exterior wall here. How do I wrap it around?

Now lets say I need this horizontal wall to stick out 20mm. If I get any closer it connects to a clean corner. Maybe I missing something here. Is there a way to control this like we have with cabinets for autofillers?

This is not what I meant here: Lets say I want to show furniture labels, but not all, only for living room. Or lets say I want to show fixtures in kitchen and not in bathroom like here is screenshot. Now we don't have this option. It's all on one layer, but worst of it is that we have only one layer "Fixtures, Labels" for all fixtures. My suggestion is this: If I need I can create two layers : "Fixtures, Kitchen" and "Fixtures, Bathroom" but Labels for each layer should be controlled from layer properties. Now in layer properties we have this "Text Style"which is pretty useless ( its only if you use layer for text notes) I would like to see there "Layer Label Text" so you are able to control not only text notes added to this layer but layer label as well. And if you don't need this you just have all on one layer as it is now. In my opinion to have two different layers - one for item and other for its label is wrong.
