  1. Hi pro's how do you show integrated fixtures in elevation views? I have inserted two sinks in the plan - one is inserted in cabinet and other is hanging on wall. It's same sink and as you can see it shows label for hanging sink, but not one which is integrated in cabinet. Or am I missing something... please see screenshot
  2. Make rendering better! or plug-in for 3d rendering software (Maxwell Render for example). So far Chief is poor at rendering...
  3. Is it possible to make pipes horizontal and vertical? Like in this photo here
  4. I have added air gap in ceiling finish of 125mm(pipe diameter) see pics. Is that what you mean?
  5. Hi all, what is the easiest way to add lowered ceiling (add air gap) for piping. And how do you make 3dpipes? I make molding lines with round molding. Thanks for help
  6. I did sent asking to sign me in, but no reply so far.
  7. Thank you so much! That is really nice library! Although I hope we will have this feature to manipulate back & side panels in X7.
  8. Thanks you! However I see you have same problem like me, we get double side panels when connecting cabinets. It would be really good to have option to manipulate thickness of back & side panels and if needed, you can make it 0mm. Also backpanel by default is around 18mm thick, no one makes solid wood panels for back side in this world, agree?
  9. When I try to import 3d symbols I get an error message on my mac: "Teigha Error: Teigha Library Error: 62 - Unknown error." /Users/autobuild/p4sync/dev/releases/16/chief/CAModel/OpenDWG/DWGDirectException.cpp(92): Error #272032414 "Teigha Error: Teigha Library Error: 62 - Unknown error." 12/03/2014 09:35:41 AM Build: 16.4.1.20OSX This is Support Center reply: The information we've gotten from our developers on this indicates that the issue is ultimately with called the Open Design Alliance, who wrote the Teigha code which handles the DWG import process. The bug, so far as I know, as been fixed on their side, however since there aren't going to be any further updates to X6, this will not likely be resolved until X7 comes out. While we don't have an exact public release date for X7, typically we aim new releases early in the new year. Your SSA is good through June, which covers the free upgrade from X6 to X7, so I'd suggest waiting for X7 before relying on these working properly. I couldn't find a topic about this error in this forum. Does anyone having same issue?
  10. The most difficult for me is to draw walk in closet cabinets with open shelves and railing. It seems the easiest is to use partitions and shelves, which makes all work long. If I try to use tall cabinets I get two side panels side by side, is there a way to make it like in this photo I have attached? you can see there is only one partition or side panel, not two. How you handle it?
  11. The walls are correct there. Maybe my mac is new but not powerful enough. Thanks dshall
  12. Here is my plan please go to electrical annotation and let me know if it slows down. I'm using new macbook pro it should handle plan like this one. Please take a look and let me know what you find.
  13. When I start adding dimensions poor chief starts to lag especially with electrical, where I need to add alot of them. Maybe there is a trick to make it work as it should, CAD softwares don't have this problem at all. Any suggestions?
