Do you have the same issue when you test it on your end? Maybe you could post a link?

The only auto update is the Living Area label.
If you need something different, a polyline, or polylines is the way.
Here is some info that may or may not help.
Unless I am missing something, I suspect this will not work in versions previous to X12?

This is kind of like asking how much a car costs per pound.
OR.... pertaining to house prices - what is the price per ft²?

In Saved Text Styles, edit the Room Label Style. Of course, you could copy it first and tweak it for your current project and revert back anytime.
-
Hint...
In Wall Types, define the wall and set your brick ledge height there.
-
PS, or....
Build Roof, Edit All Roof Planes, Frieze....
-
Roof Plane Specification, Frieze and add your selection of Molding Profiles.
-
Highlight the text THEN change the text to the height you desire.

Try placing a marker on layout page zero and then you can point to point move anything to that marker.

Am I missing something about intersecting wall doorways? Framing seems to be ok, but I still have something in the doorway in 3D view.
Thank you.

Known issue - this will correct it...
Tools, Checks, Plan Check

Ok, I started CA and selected New Plan, drew the same walls, built the foundation and all's good. But being that I like to see what caused this, I opened the problem plan file, did an Edit Area (all floors) and pasted into the new plan and did another cross section and it too has the same issue. I need to get going on this plan so I may not know what caused this.
Thank you all for your replies!!!

Wow! How can I be sure I've deleted all of the Auto Detail polylines? Please see the camera view too, it shows the brick not on the lowered brick ledge depth.
-
Ok, going crazy here...
I thought I had this figured out, but now I can't get the wall brick to drop down to the brick ledge depth set at 8". What am I overlooking?
Thank you.

That did it!!! Thank you very much.

I am changing some default settings to start a new plan and I don't know where the settings are to create a garage curb that extends past the interior wall. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
Can i just draw in this program?

Just one example, all drawn with Chief. Many, many capabilities of CAD. Polylines, lines, circles, etc. I have concluded long ago that whatever I can draw on paper, I'd rather draw it in with CA....
