  1. I have an existing condition stairwell where the bottom of the stair is 46" wide and the top of the stair is 38" wide.  Is there a way to re-shape a set of stairs so they would conform to those dimensions?

    Thanks in advance

I ordered my brother today after the first few comments. I thought at such a reasonable price I really can’t lose.

Also, they have an offer right now that extends warranty for an extra 6 months.

I ordered the ink cartridges from them and it’s my understanding that if I recycle and send them back I’ll get 15% off my next order.

I got mine from Office Depot as a refurbished printer.  It was about 1/3rd the price of a new one, and I have never had a problem with it.
For the ink, I get refilled cartridges through Amazon and have never had any problem with those either.

I think you will be very pleased with your decision.

  3. I need to align interior first floor walls with interior basement walls below.  Exterior walls are no problem, the first floor wall main layer aligns to the basement outside main layer.

But when I go to aligh the first floor walls with bearing basement walls below, it places the first floor wall in the center of the bearing wall below.  I need to line up the outside main layer on the interior first floor wall to the outside of the interior basement wall below.

    Thanks in advance.

  4. I want to send all floor plans, elevations, notes, etc. to the Layout at 3/16" scale.
The program defaults to 1/4" scale.

Is there a way to set the "send to layout" default scale to be 3/16"?

    Thanks in advance.

  5. Hello,

I need someone who can draw a geodesic dome from a set of geodesic home plans. The owners purchased this dome home about 30 years ago, and are looking to do some remodeling.  I need the original dome drawn in Chief.

I will scan the original plans and send them to you.

If you can do it, please contact me at my email,  Economyblueprints1@gmail.com so we can discuss whant needs to be done and how much you need to be paid for the work.  Please include your phone number and best time to call.

    Thanks,

  6. I checked...no custom countertop.
It's interesting, when I place the default cabinet, which is 24" wide, everything shows correctly.  Only when the cabinet is resized does the countertop not resize with the cabinet.

I tried changing the default cabinet to 39" wide, and when I placed it, the cabinet was correct but the countertop was not.

  7. When I re-size a base cabinet, the countertop does not resize with the cabinet.

So, when I place a 24'' wide cabinet, the re-size it to a 39" wide cabinet, the countertop remains at 24" wide.
    What up with that?

    Thanks,

    Ed

You're just changing the setting in the wrong place.  Change your Pony Walls themselves back to Use Default and then make changes to their display settings in you Plan View Specifications>Pony Wall Display

Thanks.  I made the changes as you suggested, but still the same result.

In the project browser, I clicked on the "Floor Plan View Dimensioned" and set the pony wall to show the upper wall and the lower wall outline.

I did the same for the "Foundation and Footings" Plan View, then under the pony wall specification made it to "lower wall".

But the two are still linked, and a change to one saved plan view changes the other one and vice versa.  They simply will not act independently of each other.

No need to open the file on this one, just need an adjustment to your approach. Wall specifications are independent of the capabilities of saved plan views. Instead considering your foundation stem walls at level 0 and build your basement on level 1. You could then use a reference display on level 0 from level 1 for more dynamic control of display

Where do I find the "Level" for the foundation plan and the upper walls plan?

  10. This house is a Bi-Level.  The lower walls are pony wall.
I have two Saved Plan Views I send to the layout.

The First one is called "Floor Plan View Dimensioned"  When I send this to the layout, Iwant the lower level pony walls to display the upper part of the pony wall and the lower wall outline.

The Second one is called "Foundation And Footings PlanView" .  When I send this to the layout, I want only the lower portion of the pony wall to display.

So, withe the "Floor Plan View Dimensioned" plan view open, I select the exterior walls, and under the WallsType tab I select the option for displaying the upper pony wall and the outline for the loer wall.  Works great, just whatI want so I go the Project Browser and save this plan view.  Off itgoes to the Layout page.

Next, I switch to the "Foundation and Footings Plan View" and under the Walls Type option I select "lower wall".  Then in the Project Browser I save the plan view.

So, in theory, the Floor Plan Dimensioned plan view when sent to the Layout should show the Upper Wall, and the outline for the Lower Wall.  The Foundation and Footings Plan View wnen sent to the layout should show only the lower wall.

But, the walls show up in both plan views as whateve I had opened last.  They do not keep their individual characteristics, and I cannot get both plan views to only show the walls as I want them to be shown.

So, if there is a trick to this, please let me know.  The plan is attached.

    Many thanks in advance.
