hey Tommy. this is a plan that I drew. for some reason, its really slow for me. im assuming its because I imported a plat map.

This drawing is giving me fits. I imported an engineers plat map and tried to delete everything I didn't need. But I must have missed something because it takes about 20 minutes to open and almost an hour to print. I think there must be a lot of info from the original plat map I need to purge, but I can't see it. any advice? Van_Asrdall.plan.zip

I bought a MacBook Pro last year specifically for CA and it works great. I have the i7, 2.9 ghz processor.

!ve got a weird open, 3rd floor balcony thats giving me fits. Ive got it mostly "looking" right, except for the staircase going up to it. Its an uncovered, exterior staircase. I can't get it to show up on the right floor. any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Van Asrdall.plan.zip

ok, so what's the secret in creating a PS that tapers up on one side? ive tried changing every value I can but I can't get that shape.

Hey Eric. That worked great. My only question is can I manipulate that column at all? im trying to change the angle and all I can do is change the width and height.

im trying to create this exterior wall feature where the wall actually tapers in as it goes up. im not sure of the correct term so im having a hard time finding anything on here or CA. anyone have any idea how to pull this off?

Im guessing I accidentally set some default on my roof. for some reason the roof is only building a few feet all the way around on the first floor. anyone know why? Whittle.plan

This is what I'm rolling with. Never used CA on a PC, so I can't compare the two. But i like mine.

Is there a way to send a single .dwg file and includes floor plans, elevations, plot plans, etc?

Thank Eric, that was a big help. I wish I knew what I was doing to accidentally change the materials on my interior walls. it seems like that happens on most of my plans.

How do you guys typically build a cast stone entry way? For some reason, I couldn't find any topics on Chief Talk on this.

So I’ve got my TV hooked up to my MacBook Pro via air play so I can mirror my monitor for visiting clients. It works fine until I launch into a elevation, perspective or ortho view Then it just goes crazy on both my tv and my laptop. Anyone else have this issue and if so, found a solution?

why can't I get this pony wall to show up correctly? I'm wanting brick on the bottom and stucco on top. But regardless what kinsd of wall I choose on top, it always shows brick facade.
