yes, the picture is EIFS w/ no window trim. I am doing siding w/ window trim and was hoping to not have to "make it" myself but i guess that is what i need to do. Thanks,

How do i get exterior window trim to be on 3 sides of the window (sides and top not bottom)? so the stone can be right along the bottom of the window like in this image. thanks,

I've been sending my room elevations to my layout page. The cmu walls/rooms have a wall covering on them of ceramic tile. they all have been showing up fine on the layout and now with the last one i sent, the cmu lines show up behind the wall covering/ct lines. i can't find a layer that is turned on that shouldn't be. unless i'm missing something. i closed and restarted the program and files. what is going wrong? what am i doing wrong? thanks, Jennifer Chief X11

I adjusted the material definition of the wall tile and it shows correctly for the most part in the 2D view but the tiles don't change size in the 3D view. What can i do to get it to show the same in both views? How do i get the tile above the accent tile to start with a hole piece of 12x24? tiles are to be 12x24 and 6x24. Its a Daltile tile but its not in the library. thanks, Jennifer Palmer Denison Drywall Chief X10

When i draw in my terrain, the slabs hide in the terrain. i have the slabs set for top of slab at 0" with reference to the finished floor. I then have the terrain set to 1" below sub floor. They appear to move together when i change the terrain reference point. thanks, Jennifer

I want to create a 6' door in a 7' door frame and the bottom door will be 6" from the floor and 6" from the top of the frame. It will be for a bathroom stall using real doors and walls instead of partitions. How do i go about making this? it will look something like this:

I have a stair that goes up to the upper level and then the stair to the basement going down starts on the opposite end. How do i show that in plan on the main floor - that there are two sets of stairs overlapping each other? I can't get the my stair to the garage to 'autostairwell' so the stairs shows up on the main level. i uploaded an image Thanks,

I am trying to make a wall with an arch at the top aka a curve at the top. And then I need to add some fancy cornice detailing. How do I do this? Also, is there a way to 'lock' a wall in place without putting it on its own layer and locking the layer? For example, I have a store front building with different heights of walls but in order to keep them from joining together and changing heights on me, I have to change the wall type or put it on its own layer and lock the layer. Thanks,

For us specifically in rural Iowa, internet connection isn't that great. So online sharing tends to hurt. My original plan was to implement something easily accessible for multiple users. Down the line new employees might want to edit/view a job file. Instead of having to download/upload/move file etc you could just access the job file on the network share, save, and the next person could jump right in no problem. Obviously you will run into issues with this as Hamlin mentioned, which is understandable. We will work with what we've got, I was just hoping it was a supported feature.
-
Yeah this is a little disappointing. I just spoke to support and they definitely don't support CA in a network environment. That is unfortunate and it would be nice to see some kind of sharing/network support option available. I guess we might be sticking with local install for the time being and using the NAS for backups, then reassess when more users need the data.

This is actually a two part question... We are revamping our office, adding more users, computers, etc and I want to store Chief Architect job files on a NAS. Model we are looking at is Synology 214+ Has anyone done this before and/or run into any trouble? This brings up my second question. I've set up a new user workstation and for the time being the user is accessing the files from another desktop. (until we get the NAS or not) She is having an issue where it tries to auto save then says the file has been disconnected but it's no where to be found. I'm assuming this is because they are not being stored on the local machine?

i guess those stones from the manufacturer catalogues don't have patterns in them.
-
How do i do that? "Help" isn't being very helpful today. Thanks!
-
How do I get a stone pattern to show up in the vector view of an elevation? currently only the siding shows up.

I have been working with Chief 10 for the last few years, so upgrading to Premier X6 is a big jump for me and trying to figure out all of the differences.
