PaulinColorado 0 Posted May 5, 2016 When I import DWG files from my engineer (using Revit) or from Simpson Hanger manufacture catalog as a CAD Block into my CAD details; I get multiple lines, vert. Horz. in what appears to be both the holes in the hangers and fasteners. How do I prevent this from happening? When I delete the hanger from the CAD detail, all lines go away so I know it's part of that detail. I cannot "explode" the CAD detail to isolate the Active Layer Display options...thanks. Only tedious fix I've found is to delete all hangers and fasteners and redraw them with CAD, not a good option.
Chopsaw 638 Posted May 6, 2016 Not exactly sure of your problem without seeing some screen shots but the CA 3D Library https://3dlibrary.chiefarchitect.com/index.php?r=site/library&reset=true has a extensive collection of simpson products under the CAD section, available for download that have all worked fine for me. I have also found some 3D .skp symbols online in the 3D Warehouse https://3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/index.html that work great. You might also find Bart there to.There is a Edit Layout Lines Tool that may work for your situation.
