A quick way to edit wall properties without creating new walls?

Chief X8: Is there a quick way to edit wall properties without creating a new wall with the properties I need? There are just some scenarios where I might need to delete the drywall from one side or something, but it isn't practical to add yet another wall that I won't use often, to the long (and growing) list of walls I already have... It seems like a no-brainer to me, but I can't seem to find a way to do it; it appears I can change the material in the wall specification dialogue, but that is a bit cumbersome and still doesn't allow me to delete a material...

No, it's best to just copy/edit  to create a new wall type.  I believe that new wall types are specific to the plan, so if you want them for the future add to the library or to your default plan.
