Steve-C
I've been battling this for years, every time I create a 3d molding radius in an elevation it's never very smooth. It usually looks like a series of straight lines made to look like an arch. This one isn't too bad but I think the worst application is when I use it for a radius brick arch. Most of the time if it looks really rough I'll just CAD line it in. Does anyone know a way around this?
Solution Greg_NY61 Posted February 18, 2016 Solution Share Posted February 18, 2016 When you create pLine and you make your radius using Change Line to Arc Tool, click Convert Line to pLine Tool and set number of sides to 64 and and after that convert to molding pLine and you will have a nice smooth curve. HamlinBC
On a side note, if you have a polyline solid with an arc in it, you can select the arc, open the solid go to "Selected Arc", and deselect "Automatic Facet Angle" and select whatever angle you wish to make the arc appear smooth. Steve-C
Interesting. Thanks Jonathan. Too bad that doesn't seem to work for polyline molding but good info though.
