Wall Elevation of cabinets that extend across room line

Recommended Posts

Is there a way to create a wall elevation for cabinets that extend into an ajdacent room?  The wall elevation tool cuts off my cabinets that extend into my dining room.  My rooms have different ceiling types too, if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Hey Steve!

Check out page 905 of the Reference Manual, select the elevation symbol, Open Object, and then select Ignore Railings and Invisible Walls.

Not sure if this is the correct topic area but for some reason, I can not figure out how to display the electrical fixture I just dropped in. Here are the steps I've taken:
      1. create wall elevation (E4)
      2. clip wall elevation in plan view making sure the fixture is well within the limits.
      3. saved, exited, restarted .plan
      4. added light fixture in plan view
      5. opened elevation by double-clicking the callout in .plan
      6. display opens sans light fixture

Sorry had to zip the file... didn't have time to figure out how to shrink it...

I am creating wall views for the interior designer and using the 'wall elevation' command under 3D. However it always shows a flat ceiling and doesn't show any vaults. Is there a way to accurately show the full gabled wall?
