porch beam not under truss

How do I get my roof to sit on top of the porch beam? You can see the truss is slightly to the left of the porch beam.

Are you using the beam tool?
Are you using a post-to-beam railing?
If you are using post to beam railing, that oll will only build to your ceiling height. What you are showing is your soffit,  and the soffit will always build to the outside of your platform. You could do a railing offset, but this can cause some other problems. Its better to post a plan and bubble+annotate your desired set of outcomes
