PitMan71
I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction on this one. How can I fix the missing drywall in the upper corner of this vaulted room? This is on a gable end wall. At first glance it looks like Chief is extending the wall up to fill the space, but it's actually only extending the brick veneer, leaving the drywall missing in the upper corner. I've narrowed it down to the porch gable wall above the roof causing the issue, but I can't figure out what setting or wall interaction is responsible. The attached plan is just a simple test file I created to reproduce the condition from another project. I wanted to see if I could recreate the problem in a brand-new plan—and sure enough, it happens there too. Has anyone run into this before or know what causes it? Thanks in advance for your insights. QualicoreHomes
Yes, I've had that happen to me. For me usually selecting "balloon through ceiling above" for the main floor wall works. I did it on your TestPlan and that seemed to fix the missing drywall portion. I did have to manually shape the porch wall above the roof the get the exterior wall to build correctly. There are probably better chiefers that can explain exactly why it happens which might be more helpful.
