Leadcarpo Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 Hi, I learned about the subtraction tool in one of Rene's template Tuesday videos and as always I go to start practicing what I have learned. The issue I am having, is that I don't get the dialog box that askes if I want to retain the original object, it just erases the object I am trying to subtract. I am able to copy and paste in place and it does work that way, however, I want it to work the way it is meant to. I tried to union to solids, and while the union function worked, still no dialog box. I have tried this in a few other plans to test it, and the results are the same. I can't find a preference that is clear to make this correction, just wondering if anyone has had this same issue? I am on the most current version of x17. Thanks! DBCooper Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 Maybe you checked the "remember my choice" box the last time that question came up? If so, you can go into your preferences and use "reset message boxes" to get it back. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
