After researching how to create a gate in a deck railing so that it matches, I've created a short section of railing and converted the symbol to a door and added it to my library. In the library 3d preview it looks correct. Once I place it into my plan it changes to have a solid panel in the middle of the gate and I cannot figure out how to change this or if I did something wrong in creating it in the first place. See example of gate in the library, and then what it looks like when placed into my railing. Also, when I place it, it doesn't maintain the size I created the gate at, but changes to be 6" wide. I tried creating it again using the advanced settings where I could change sizing and keep the gate 4" up, but that didn't work either... Anyone know what I am missing here? Thank you!!! DBCooper Posted May 27 Share Posted May 27 Yes, that helps. It looks like the main problem is that the gate symbol is oriented wrong. Open the symbol dialog and rotate it 90 degrees and it should work better. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
