How to stepdown monolithic slab, but keep framing on high slab?

I am trying to replicate this real world example; where the step down area is just inside the walls. So that the framing bottom plate always sits on the same slab level as the rest of the slab.

I've tried:

  • If I set floor to a negative value, it also moves the framing down.
  • Placing a "slab hole" - this doesn't appear to work with monolithic slabs.

Any suggestions on how to archive this?

From AI: To create a lowered or sunken shower in a slab foundation using Chief Architect, you will need to define the shower area as a separate, distinct "Room" using the Room Divider tool, and then adjust its floor height on the structure settings.
