  1. Thank you! That did it. Hah, I'd asked Claude myself as-well before posting and it sent me down a rabbit hole of slab/foundation editing.
  2. I am trying to replicate this real world example; where the step down area is just inside the walls. So that the framing bottom plate always sits on the same slab level as the rest of the slab. I've tried: If I set floor to a negative value, it also moves the framing down. Placing a "slab hole" - this doesn't appear to work with monolithic slabs. Any suggestions on how to archive this?
  3. Thanks for advise and what would happen in the real world. I am a student, so just working through the training materials and noticed the behavior not working as per the videos. But yeap, Chief confirmed the issue and should hopefully have it sorted for those that do use the feature.
  4. Support have replicated and confirmed the bug. Should hopefully be sorted with an update.
  5. Ok, looks like a bug in X16. I will contact support. (Ticket created: ID 133553) Installing X15, I have zero issues with the feature.
  6. Edit: I've confirmed this is a bug in X16, it's working fine in X15. I've created Support Ticket 133553. I'm still learning. Following both https://cloud.chiefarchitect.com/1/pdf/documentation/chief-architect-x16-reference-manual.pdf (Page 861) and from 3:00 of this video: Using the Gable-Roof Line Tool - Video | Chief Architect I can't get the alcove tool to work in X16. Using a default new/template, with zero changes, and drawing exterior walls roughly the same as the video above. I can't get it to cover the alcove. What am I doing wrong? Attached video of my attempt to close the alcove. Gable Roof Line Tool.plan 2024-09-30_20-22-08.mp4
