Selecting Object Instead Of Room

This morning I opened a plan I finished about two weeks ago.  The client called with some revisions.  Now, when I try to click on an object the room opens up.  I attached a screen shot. What I want to do is click on the dashed lines (interior footing), but the room opens instead and there seems to be no way to click on the footing.  "Relief is greatly wanted."

As far as I know, you can't select a footing to edit it.  You can open the wall dialog and change some of the footing settings there.
