Room Molding Polylines / Square Footage Calculation

I have custom room molding polylines set up for my bathroom and shower. I want both spaces counted together in the total bathroom square footage, but as soon as I disable room definition on the shower walls, the molding polylines break and everything shifts. Is there a better workflow to include the shower in the room area while keeping the moldings intact?

Try this... Go to the structure panel of the shower wall and change it to a furred wall.
