Importing Revit Models

Is there a new way to import a 3D Revit model into Chief X17?

Revit exports to several 3D fornats. I would try each to see which imports into Chief with the best quality. I do not currently have a copy of Revit now so cannot be specific.

Just to clarify, you can't import a revit model as a smart Chief model that you could then modify.  You can import a 2D drawing using a DWG/DXF format that you could then trace over or you could import a 3D model using a format that revit can export that you could view but that's about it.

Hi @JDT63Drafting, You can however convert certain parts of a 2D DWG/DXF file that you import into CA into walls doors and windows in certain instances. By use of layer mapping when importing the file into CA.

I was wondering the same thing. If only we could export in .FBX, CA files could be used on almost any 3D program.

I'm sorry but I beg to differ. Worked with  a builder who used Revit and exchanged regularly. I cannot be more specific on which format, its been too many years.
