JordanWeed
I have a wood material that works perfectly in the 3d camera, however in the elevation it appears as a solid color. Is there any way to change so elevation shows pattern? I do have "Patterns, 3D Views" turned on.
DBCooper
Your material needs to have a pattern for the pattern to show up. You can actually generate one from the texture using the "define material" dialog but these might take some tweaking to make look ok. You can also assign one of the pre-made ones. Personally, I find wood grain patterns way too busy for elevation views. Here is a training video that might help, but there are lots of other videos and articles about this stuff: https://www.chiefarchitect.com/videos/watch/259/creating-and-editing-custom-patterns.html
PitMan71
You can change your rendering technique in that view to standard and update the standard view to add lines. Ince in the view, click on the edit box. Then once in the dbx change the rendering technique. Lastly, click "define" to add lines.... Probably want to pull the squiggle values down so that they dont look hand drawn.
