Irregular shaped opening in wall not working

Hey all, 

 

I need to cut an octagonal shape out of a wall to create a pass-through but the shape is causing some issues.  I tried editing two pass-throughs with an opening but it didn't clean up. So now I've created a polyline in hopes that I can subtract that shape from the wall.  It's the grey object below. I'm also really new to Chief Architect.

That's a dogear arch in doorways

Is there a Chief Architect solution for that?

Place a normal doorway.  Go to the arch page and set it to "dogear arch".  Set the height of the arch.  If needed, turn off the casing.
