Schedule Question - Place Holder Item

Is there an easy way to have a "dummy" place holder for a deleted schedule item?

 

For example, if I delete a door from a door schedule I often like to keep the schedule line item and mark it as "Not Used."

 

This is to keep the overall schedule numbering order / total count unchanged.  I feel this helps the plan checker or GC in keeping track of changes and is better than renumbering the entire schedule.

 

Would be interested if anyone has a good method for this.  Thanks again,

Create a dummy/place holder object (a Note maybe), set it to Include in Schedule As and set to a new Custom Category called "Placeholders".  Set your Schedule to Include that new Placeholders Category and then drag the item to wherever you want it in the list.
