Issue in vaulted garage

Hey guys, I have a garage with a vaulted ceiling. In that same space I have a safe room and half bath. I have those spaces with 9' ceilings. As you can see below there is no need to run the walls all the way up to the vaulted garage ceiling. I want flat separate ceilings in them. I assume if you guys have an answer to this it will also add back the drywall where I have the question mark. When I delete the upper walls they turn into invisible walls and won't go away completely. This has happened in the past but I just let it fly cause you couldn't tell on the plans but it would be nice to figure out what I am doing wrong.

Rob,

I remembered a video about this kind of condition.  See if this helps.

Dude, this was awesome. It worked and thanks! I will be honest, I have used CA since 2018 and never used the shelf ceiling option.

Me neither.  I just remembered I watched the video when I was evaluating the software a few years ago.  Glad it worked out!

I never knew about the shelf ceiling option, I learned something new, thanks.

I had a similar project over a decade ago but had to find another way around it in X5, the ceiling planes helped me back then.
