RobUSMC Posted March 21, 2015 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Does anyone know if its possible to rename the the parts of a symbol that was imported? Say for a light fixture that has an imported part name of "cb6ejfaj66n4ldc98b54hs" to be able to change that to lets say Light Shade or Fixture Canopy. See attached. Cheryl_C_Crane Posted March 21, 2015 Share Posted March 21, 2015 Rob, Open the Symbol, go to Materials Tab, on each material either right click or dbl click the 'name' and you can change it. Sometimes, I'll change a material to a strong vibrant color like hot pink just to see where it is applied so that I'll know what to name the area/part of the symbol.
